Just like Blackwater, Mahindra is the most likely candidate to miss the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs… especially with their godforsaken roster.
I am not knocking on Reden Celda’s credentials… but you know Mahindra sucks for the sole reason that this former NU Bulldog… who is also the third rookie they acquired in the 2016 PBA Draft… is the only local to average in double digits this conference.
Mahindra opened the conference with do-it-all James White as their hired gun but after four games was sacked because he veers off Chris Gavina’s playbook. Well I guess one reason is because last season, White had KG Canaleta and Aldrech Ramos by his side. With White gone, Mahindra pinned their hopes on Keith Wright… but while the former Harvard star worked his ass off hoard the boards… his scoring average is ten points off White’s average.
And with a team with Celda as top scorer… with no key scoring support to show (since Gavina did the same thing to the another headcase in Alex Mallari) they were goners right from the get go.
So let’s see the stats of the Mahindra Floodbuster and how long will they spell their moniker without the “s” on its end.
