If and when Bobby Ray Parks decides to join the PBA, he should be on top of every mock draft that exists. One would think that this is ridiculous... especially with how he tried to jump from PBA D-League to NBA D-League. But why would it be? Ray Parks is the son of a former … Continue reading 2017 PBA Draft (An EARLY Mock Draft 1.0)
Remember how good the Cleveland Cavaliers were in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the eventual champs, the Golden State Warriors? The Cavs were hitting record numbers! Plus it was as if they were on the verge of becoming the first team to get out of a 1-3 bind in the NBA Finals … Continue reading June Mar Fajardo’s 4th MVP is all too real now
Remember that saliva thing Terrence Romeo did to Kiefer Ravena some years back? Well it’s not that gross... but he pissed another Ateneo guard in the process. So after taking the PBL world by storm as the Harbour Centre Port Masters and lording the inaugural ABL season as the Philippine Patriots, Mikee Romero has … Continue reading 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup: GlobalPort Batang Pier stats
Just like Blackwater, Mahindra is the most likely candidate to miss the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs... especially with their godforsaken roster. I am not knocking on Reden Celda’s credentials... but you know Mahindra sucks for the sole reason that this former NU Bulldog... who is also the third rookie they acquired in … Continue reading 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup: Mahindra Floodbuster stats
This article... is better late than never! Finally, Pacquiao has seen action this season! But while The Fighting Senator is doing his earnest to save professional boxing from mediocrity, Rene Pacquiao is here to stay! Now I know... Rene Pacquiao played even before the Golden State Warriors swatted three other squads before getting flagged by … Continue reading Why Rene Pacquiao can be the real deal for Mahindra
No. Just no. If there’s one team that should miss the playoffs, that team shouldn’t be the Alaska Aces. I know I haven’t been rooting for them ever since the team lost the likes of Johnny Abarrientos, Bong Hawkins, Jojo Lastimosa, Poch Juinio, Rodney Santos, and either/or Kenneth Duremdes and Jeffrey Cariaso but it felt … Continue reading 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup: Alaska Aces stats
Blackwater, to the surprise of no one, missed the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs. They played the conference without Art dela Cruz. They almost played the conference without Mac Belo. They sent Dylan Ababou and James Forrester to GlobalPort to acquire offensive gem KG Canaleta but even with his presence, Blackwater can’t open the door … Continue reading 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup: Blackwater Elite stats
So NLEX sucked. I mean... their first nine games were duds. They should thank their lucky stars they won their last two games though... and with the entries of Alex Mallari, Larry Fonacier and JR Quinahan the Road Warriors are turning into the team Yeng Guiao would love sans the palpitations. Wayne Chism brought his … Continue reading 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup: NLEX Road Warriors stats
Now Alvin Patrimonio needs no introduction. He owned a lot of basketball gold – team and individual. He also prospered because he remained healthy for most of his career (thus giving him the Iron Man tag). Purefoods also did their best to protect their prized possession... although I kind of blame the management for letting Ryan Gregorio bench him in times when he is well enough to help his team.
Eric Menk deserved to have his number retired (or at least recognized as the people would say). The Major Pain is a former MVP and at one point frequented double-double averages as if it is as simple as tying one’s shoe. But here’s the thing. He shouldn’t. At least... not with Alaska. At the moment, the … Continue reading Eric Menk got his number retired… by Alaska?
